I wasn’t quite sure where I was going with this look but I felt like my eyeshadow stash lacked some shimmers so I finally decided to pick up Mac Antiqued and when I got it, I couldn’t wait to put it on. And it didn’t disappoint. If you’ve got green eyes, you need this in your life. I paired it with a dark lip because it’s a nice change from my browny nudes but also a bit of purple tone to play up the warm red tones of Antiqued.
For the base I used Chanel Perfection Lumiere Velvet in B10, purely because I need all the coverage I can get. I’m actually tempted to get a Chanel CC Cream though as I feel like it would be a nice cross between Perfection Lumiere Velvet and my Burberry BB Cream. Anyway I used Maybelline Fit Me Concealer in Fair to cover any discolouration and then set it with Charlotte Tilbury Aibrush Flawless Powder in Fair. For a change I’m actually wearing a blush that you can see as I went with Chanel Le Blush Creme in Fantastic, it’s a raspberry. Again mixing up the cooler blush with warm shadows.
On the eyes, I started off by dusting a bit of Makeup Geek Frappe in my socket line and then packed Mac Antiqued all over the eyelid. All very warm but instead of going with my Nars Dolomites, I used the aubergine shade from Chanel Raffinement Quad along both top and bottom lash lines which adds a bit purple to the look. Equally flattering on my complexion. I finished it off with Mac False Lashes Extreme Mascara on top lashes and Chanel Stylo Yeux Waterproof in Grenat on my waterline. This shade is so cool because it’s got both reddish brown and purple tones in it. Yup, you guessed it Chanel discontinued it. Sorry!
Lipstick is Chanel Rouge Allure in Rouge Noir which I applied without my usual berry lip liner so that you’d get the true wine tone. Rouge Noir in that way is quite similar to Grenat as it seems to be quite neutral with both cool and warm tones.
While this is still very much a me kind of makeup look. I mean I obviously I bought all these products for a reason, hence why it’s all so Chanel and Mac heavy (hint, hint favourites). Nonetheless it does feel a bit more playful pairing reddish browns with purple and berries in one look. So, this being my last post of 2015, I wanted to thank you all for reading and I’ll be back on Friday with Yearly Favourites!
