My Favourite Single Eyeshadows

While I do have a soft spot for smaller palettes in terms of everyday use, I generally only reach for a few shades within a palette and spend a lot of time thinking of what shades work work better. Naturally, it makes sense that I would buy a couple singles to create the perfect palette but looking back at my favourites, I pretty much have all the mattes down but still rely on my palettes for shimmer. Not a big deal, given that I gravitate towards matte looks most of the time anyway unless it’s the MAC Frost formula. If you are a fellow reddish brown eyeshadow lover, let me run you through some of my favourites. Continue reading “My Favourite Single Eyeshadows”

New Additions To My Makeup Brush Collection

I went through a phase end of last year where I forbade myself from buying any extra makeup but could easily justify makeup brushes since they don’t go bad. Having added six new brushes into my collection, I can say there is a lesson to be learned when it comes to higher end brushes. I’d be the first one admit to being a bit of high end makeup advocate but I have never really dwelled into the the realm of artisan brushes. This is a comprehensive flick through my bronzer favourites that I might preface by saying that my preferences for contour and bronzer is a pinky brown. 7 Irreplaceable Makeup Products

There is something thrilling about signature looks and these are the key pieces of my makeup closet. I keep coming back to them and they have all been well used. Once upon a time this list would have been the filled with the likes of Chanel makeup but frankly I’ve not bought anything from the brand for years and all the products I have and like were limited edition. On the same note, the little makeup I’ve bought in the last year or so has been mostly Nars hence the majority of these but still these are all products I have repurchased and desperately trying, have failed to find shades and formulas that can compete with them. The lack of face products on this list simply proves that I am yet to find a product that both matches me and looks seamless on the skin. Continue reading “7 Irreplaceable Makeup Products”
