Fenty Hydrating Foundation in 100 Review + Comparison Swatches

This review is definitely coming really late especially given how excited I was for the Fenty Hydrating Foundation to launch but I wanted to thoroughly test this foundation before the review and admittedly I got a little bit distracted with the Pat McGrath Skin Fetish. Sonia G Pro Face Set Review

I previously only tried the Sonia G Sculpt Two brush which I initially purchased to use with my Nars Sun Diffusing Bronzer but soon discovered that it also worked fabulously for quick contouring and picked all my harder pressed pans with ease. Having a bit of a soft spot for squirrel cheek brushes while also loving the stiffer powder formulas can be a bit tricky and I thought Sonia G was perfect because the goat hairs were still plush but picked and deposited product really well. I’m not keen on brush sets but I figured I would get use out of most of the brushes in the Pro Face Set and that’s the one I picked up. I’ve had these for a few months now and wanted to give myself a chance to try every single one of them out thoroughly. So was is worth it? Continue reading “Sonia G Pro Face Set Review”

Comparing Marc Jacobs O!Mega Bronze in Tantalize and Tantastic

Having red hair and yellow undertones makes finding bronzers quite a challenge. Anything yellow toned (think Benefit Hoola Lite) will make me look like I have jaundice and that’s the last thing I need. On top of that, the more neutral tone the more muddy it can look on my skin and despite its cult following, Marc Jacobs Omega Bronze in Tantastic is very much borderline too neutral to look flattering on me so I’ll say I was fairly intrigued when Tantalize came out because I’ve often reached for darker toned bronzers because the undertone turned was more of what I was looking for. Fair Skin Test: Uoma Beauty White Pearl Foundation

Uoma Beauty recently launched its line bringing another vast range of foundation shades and a poor range of concealer shades (the lightest concealer is about five tones darker than its matching foundation – pretty Fenty shade range in reverse). The reason why I went for this foundation is because unlike Fenty, it didn’t pretty much dry on contact with the skin and I think more than anything, it’s exciting if you can find a foundation shade that matches you and this seemed to have a good variety ranging from fairest to deepest. Kevyn Aucoin Sunrise Light Neo Bronzer Review

It’s no secret Kevyn Aucoin Tropical Nights is the one product that made me believe that a non-orange bronzer is a possibility and at the same time made me realise that what I wanted from a bronzer was a pink undertone – nothing revolutionary given I’ve been using Tom Ford Terra for three years at that point. But compared to Terra where the pink tone is very subtle, the Neo Bronzer in Sunrise Light is something else and I’ve been buzzing to share this with you.
