Rolling Project Pan Update #2

To be completely honest, I have frequent mood swings in regards to this project and frankly, I just wish you’d see progress on powder products quicker but looking back at the three months of formal project panning, I definitely played with makeup more than I have for a while. Some discoveries have been made in that I’ve been quite successful panning lipsticks and pencil products, don’t mind using the same eyeshadow despite minimal progress but struggle quite a bit with face products so I will probably keep those to a minimum from now on (says while she rolls in a baked blush). New Additions To My Makeup Brush Collection

I went through a phase end of last year where I forbade myself from buying any extra makeup but could easily justify makeup brushes since they don’t go bad. Having added six new brushes into my collection, I can say there is a lesson to be learned when it comes to higher end brushes. I’d be the first one admit to being a bit of high end makeup advocate but I have never really dwelled into the the realm of artisan brushes. Now, I have briefly over a past months and perhaps I feel like I’m a bit too rough with my brushes to justify any new additions any time soon. But let’s get into my thoughts on a sampling of the Surratt, Rae Morris and few others. Continue reading “New Additions To My Makeup Brush Collection”

Rolling Project Pan Update

It’s been over a month since I officially committed to my first Project Pan and I’ve already got things to report. I’ve learnt that I am impatient after all but also rediscovered some product loves. Seeing I have finished or decided to declutter some of the products, I figured an update was due. Not entirely sure if rolling out a majority of the products is a good start but I suppose it’s my inexperience with project panning that made me pick products that weren’t necessarily feasible for me to use up and at least enjoy using. Hourglass Diffused Bronze Light and Other Non-Orange Bronzers

I not so long ago spoke of having finally found my perfect cheek product combination here, but fast forward a couple of months and I had panicked purchased a few products in Space NK when my voucher was about to expire. I have no idea what sparked this bronzer obsession but perhaps it is because it was part of my makeup collection that I could justify expanding or simply I yearned for another version of Nars Douceur. This is a comprehensive flick through my bronzer favourites that I might preface by saying that my preferences for contour and bronzer is a pinky brown. Beauty Products Worth Splurging On

Chanel Vitalumiere Aqua, Charlotte Tilbury Powder & Sculpt, Nars Audacious Barbara, Ellis Faas Lilac Taupe, Bobbi Brown Full Coverage Face Brush

There is no point denying that I have a thing about high-end makeup. The quality’s better, the selection’s better, the feel is more satisfying. While I used to just stock up at the Chanel counter in the past, I’m slowly venturing into all the other brands (although that might change because their Les Automnales collection is to die for!) Anyway, I figured I’d put together a post that would include my very top five products that are just irreplaceable in my collection. Continue reading “Beauty Products Worth Splurging On”
