Today’s post is mostly inspired by the latest addition to my lipstick wardrobe in the form of the new Chanel Matte Lip Crayon in Hazelnut and while I might have originally been drawn to it because well, I love hazelnuts, it quickly became the cool nude I always looked for and could never find. Now, I do like to kid myself into thinking I’m completely immune to marketing but what is better marketing than hyping up a product within the online beauty community. This list was interesting to put together because why I definitely research products before buying them, I have on occasions bought something only because I heard someone mention it multiple times even if I knew I probably won’t get that much use out of it. There is also a few brands that I generally consider to be hyped up and they definitely made up a bulk of this list. Continue reading “Thoughts on the Hyped Up Makeup in My Collection”
I do have a tendency to ramble on and I have previously talked about a few of these products so for the purpose of keeping it shorter, I am simply going to rank this and provide a few reasonings behind my decision without going too much into detail about the finishes and undertones of all these.

Now that I’ve finally got my brush buying obsession under control, I’ve finally reviewed my favourites including both old staples and new additions. Continue reading “Favourite Face Makeup Brushes”
First up – apologies for missing out on last week’s post but I finally decided to map my domain and let’s just say, I got easily confused with some of it.
Now I generally don’t like to label my posts as for fair skin because frankly, I like my coloured makeup products contrasting with my skin tone but naturally when it comes to base makeup, I won’t be caught dead in the sun or self tan for that matter so matching for body tone is a must. As a general rule, I’d say I’m a pretty close match to MAC NC10 and I am generally the palest shade in brands that make pale shades but having said that, there are definitely people that are fairer than me. My body and neck has a slight pale yellow under tone and my face is a hint lighter and more neutral than the rest of my body with some pink in my cheeks. My skin type is dry and my main concerns are skin texture and translucent skin under my eyes. Continue reading “Foundation Routine for Fair Dry Skin”
