Ranking All My Bronzers

“”I do have a tendency to ramble on and I have previously talked about a few of these products so for the purpose of keeping it shorter, I am simply going to rank this and provide a few reasonings behind my decision without going too much into detail about the finishes and undertones of all these.

Before I begin, let me note that I have very fair skin with yellow undertones which eliminates a lot of the most popular bronzers on the market for me. Continue reading “Ranking All My Bronzers”

Favourite Face Makeup Brushes

I’ve had this blog post idea lurking in the shadows for quite some time now and I kept putting it off because I recently added a number of Japanese made makeup brushes into my collection and while many of them have replaced my previous favourites, a lot of them were also quite a similar shape and I wanted to get a better feel of them before I labelled any of them as a favourite. Now that I’ve finally got my brush buying obsession under control, I’ve finally reviewed my favourites including both old staples and new additions.  Continue reading “Favourite Face Makeup Brushes”

Foundation Routine for Fair Dry Skin

First up – apologies for missing out on last week’s post but I finally decided to map my domain and let’s just say, I got easily confused with some of it.

Now I generally don’t like to label my posts as for fair skin because frankly, I like my coloured makeup products contrasting with my skin tone but naturally when it comes to base makeup, I won’t be caught dead in the sun or self tan for that matter so matching for body tone is a must. As a general rule, I’d say I’m a pretty close match to MAC NC10 and I am generally the palest shade in brands that make pale shades but having said that, there are definitely people that are fairer than me. My body and neck has a slight pale yellow under tone and my face is a hint lighter and more neutral than the rest of my body with some pink in my cheeks. My skin type is dry and my main concerns are skin texture and translucent skin under my eyes. Continue reading “Foundation Routine for Fair Dry Skin”

Kevyn Aucoin Sunrise Light Neo Bronzer Review

It’s no secret Kevyn Aucoin Tropical Nights is the one product that made me believe that a non-orange bronzer is a possibility and at the same time made me realise that what I wanted from a bronzer was a pink undertone – nothing revolutionary given I’ve been using Tom Ford Terra for three years at that point. But compared to Terra where the pink tone is very subtle, the Neo Bronzer in Sunrise Light is something else and I’ve been buzzing to share this with you. New Additions To My Makeup Brush Collection

I went through a phase end of last year where I forbade myself from buying any extra makeup but could easily justify makeup brushes since they don’t go bad. Having added six new brushes into my collection, I can say there is a lesson to be learned when it comes to higher end brushes. I’d be the first one admit to being a bit of high end makeup advocate but I have never really dwelled into the the realm of artisan brushes. Now, I have briefly over a past months and perhaps I feel like I’m a bit too rough with my brushes to justify any new additions any time soon. But let’s get into my thoughts on a sampling of the Surratt, Rae Morris and few others. Continue reading “New Additions To My Makeup Brush Collection”
