First up – apologies for missing out on last week’s post but I finally decided to map my domain and let’s just say, I got easily confused with some of it.
Now I generally don’t like to label my posts as for fair skin because frankly, I like my coloured makeup products contrasting with my skin tone but naturally when it comes to base makeup, I won’t be caught dead in the sun or self tan for that matter so matching for body tone is a must. As a general rule, I’d say I’m a pretty close match to MAC NC10 and I am generally the palest shade in brands that make pale shades but having said that, there are definitely people that are fairer than me. My body and neck has a slight pale yellow under tone and my face is a hint lighter and more neutral than the rest of my body with some pink in my cheeks. My skin type is dry and my main concerns are skin texture and translucent skin under my eyes. Continue reading “Foundation Routine for Fair Dry Skin”
I am very much a nude lipstick afficionado with strong leanings towards the deeper end of the spectrum considering my skin tone. You won’t really catch me wearing anything paler than Nars Barbara or Charlotte Tilbury Very Victoria but I already spoke of these two and actually recently ran out of Barbara and decided not to repurchase before I get through some of my other lipsticks. For the purpose of this post, I am talking all my favourite deeper nudes if you have lighter skin tone or simply nudes if you’re darker. Continue reading “Best Browny Nude Lipsticks”
It’s no secret Kevyn Aucoin Tropical Nights is the one product that made me believe that a non-orange bronzer is a possibility and at the same time made me realise that what I wanted from a bronzer was a pink undertone – nothing revolutionary given I’ve been using Tom Ford Terra for three years at that point. But compared to Terra where the pink tone is very subtle, the Neo Bronzer in Sunrise Light is something else and I’ve been buzzing to share this with you. I not so long ago spoke of having finally found my perfect cheek product combination here, but fast forward a couple of months and I had panicked purchased a few products in Space NK when my voucher was about to expire. I have no idea what sparked this bronzer obsession but perhaps it is because it was part of my makeup collection that I could justify expanding or simply I yearned for another version of Nars Douceur. This is a comprehensive flick through my bronzer favourites that I might preface by saying that my preferences for contour and bronzer is a pinky brown.
